Analytics and privacy
You can learn without analytics. Your choice does not affect access to lessons or saving your progress.
Who is responsible
Atterna is run by Chiril Scaletchi (Kirill Sk), an individual based in the Netherlands, who is responsible for the data processed on this site. Questions and requests to see, correct or delete your data: hello@atterna.com. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
What we measure — with your permission
Page views, navigation, campaign tags, language and device type, approximate location from the connection IP, scrolling and active viewing time. In lessons, we measure starts, resumes, completions and successful imports of guest progress into an account.
Reports use PostHog EU Cloud. We send a random browser identifier, not your email or account ID. A limited set of learning events also goes to Atterna’s private event log so we can check that the learning funnel is measured correctly.
Screen recording and automatic form-content collection are off. SQL, answers, notes, AI-check submissions, passwords and recovery tokens are not sent to PostHog.
Your choice
Before you allow analytics, we do not load PostHog or send analytics events. Both choices are available in the same panel. Use the Analytics button at the bottom of the page to change your choice at any time. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control turn analytics off.
Your preference and random identifiers are stored in this browser. Withdrawing permission stops new events and clears local analytics identifiers; it does not automatically delete events already sent. PostHog’s free plan retains event history for up to one year.
Requests for full access
If you submit a request, we store your email, selected product, language, source page, submission time and the version of your permission to contact you. Requests are kept in a separate private Supabase table in the EU, accessible to Atterna’s owner to discuss pricing and access. A request does not create an account, payment or newsletter subscription. Your contact is not sent to PostHog, and learning answers and progress are not attached to the request.
Requests are handled manually. We keep your contact while discussing your request; the owner reviews and removes closed requests. You can reply to our message to ask us to stop the discussion and remove your contact.
Purchases
Payments are taken by Lemon Squeezy, the reseller (merchant of record). You enter payment details with them and they never reach us; we receive your email, name, country, the level you bought and the payment status, to open access, handle refunds and keep sales records. Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy covers payment and tax processing.
Data needed to run the product
Separately from analytics, Atterna stores your language, guest progress in this browser and account progress on the server. Sign-in uses session cookies. These support learning and are not switched off with analytics. The AI checker sends the text you submit to its provider only after the separate consent in that form.
AI reviews and quality checks
The instant check runs locally in your browser using fixed rules; your text is not sent anywhere. The optional “Check with AI” sends your answer and any SQL to OpenAI only after you separately agree to the notice in the form. This public feature uses OpenAI only.
OpenAI keeps the request and reply for at least 30 days under its retention rules. During that time Atterna’s owner can review them in OpenAI, only to check the quality of the tool. We do not promise deletion exactly at day 30. Do not paste personal or confidential information, or anything you are not entitled to share.
Atterna does not keep the content of these requests or replies in its own database, server logs or analytics. A separate cost ledger keeps a technical request identifier, model, time, status and cost, without your text. We do not attach your email, account or analytics identifier to the review request. AI-review consent is separate from analytics consent; you can use the instant check on its own.
